Peace Building
The Peace Building and Reconciliation Department (PCRDO) is deeply committed to its mission of breaking the cycle of violence and promoting lasting peace. Working in close collaboration with local partners and field missions, PCRDO addresses the aftermath of conflict through a comprehensive approach. This approach includes supporting peace processes at local and regional levels, implementing restorative justice programs, facilitating ethnic dialogue, promoting interfaith cooperation, establishing inclusive governance structures, and engaging in grassroots reconciliation efforts. PCRDO also strives to empower moderate voices within communities and rebuild connections among divided groups. Through these initiatives, PCRDO seeks to create reconciled communities that are inclusive, resilient, respectful of human rights, and committed to monitoring public service delivery. Ultimately, the organization’s goal is to foster a more peaceful and harmonious future, free from the grip of violence, and to pave the way for positive norms and standards to prevail in society.
